MINIGAMES

The better you are at completing the minigames, the better your potion will be!

completing minigames with more successes will increase stun duration, damage and knockback of your attacks!

the order also changes the potion you will create!

for example reloading with this order of keys :  R->Q->E will yield you... a SHOCKING! surprise

who knows, Quelling your thiRst of knowlEdge with a certain combination may yield unexpected results!

GAME IS RECOMMENDED IN FULL SCREEN

MISS, HAPS!

Miss Haps is a survival 2D,top-down, with some Binding of Isaac elements. It centers around a little alchemist GIRL (called Miss Haps)  trying to survive the night brewing potions to defend her candle from the SHADOW DEMONS trying to steal her potions and kill her.

The Player tries to manage reloading (potion brewing), defending the candle while the circle darkness encroaches on them. The goal is to survive as much as possible.

While it would be possible to make it happen, our schedule made us give priority to other aspects of the game but, if development continues after the gamejam, it would be a no brainer addition to the game in my opinion.

DEVELOPMENT NOTES

Half of the game’s code got corrupted near the end of the deadline and the programmer re-wrote most of the code in the span of a day. While impressive we decided to not commit with optional stuff to avoid overworking the programmer and send him to the hospital again.

(special thanks to “KeyBoard_God69” from stack overflow for saving the developer’s life and helping fix a mysterious error)

That being said, the team had a great experience working on this project and we will probably keep working on it and stuff (without the time pressure)

Superb! I can't believe more people haven't player this, it's an excellent fun to complexity level very arcade like.

The music is groovy and the sound effects are very satisfying.

But above all else I'm in love with the art, messy and simple but so expressive! I have a feeling the little witch may find her way into my sketchbook in the following weeks.

Amazing work, I can't wait to see more!

THANK YOU! it means a lot, the art was made by keivandow! and the music from Lorenzo Cossu, check them out if you want to see more!

Keivandow keeps this kind of artstail more or less consistent in his art and it's very cool and unique, if you like it in the game you'll probably also like it in his other works

I only did the coding part and since it's my first ever gamedev experience hopefully i can improve so i can keep up with the art and music that will accompany my future projects
